The feasibility studies are aiming at investments mainly in the USA, Turkey and United Arab Emirates, as well as in South Korea, Indonesia, South Africa, Uganda, Chile and Canada. The total amount of these grants is EUR 405,000.
A range of sectors are represented among the projects, including wind energy, LED lighting, oil spill response equipment, energy saving technology, as well as software systems and cloud computing solutions.
So far this year, Nopef has awarded a total of EUR 640,000 in grant funding to 20 feasibility studies. The average length of a feasibility study is 1.8 years, after the granted company decides whether it will establish local presence in the project country, for example through a subsidiary or joint venture.
