Nopef and its partners invite Nordic companies in the battery value chain to join a delegation visit to Tokyo in March. Financial support is available for participating companies.

Organised 15-17 March 2023 at Tokyo Big Sight, Battery Japan is the world’s leading international exhibition for rechargeable batteries. Together with Innovation Norway, Business Finland, Business Sweden, Nordic Innovation House Tokyo and Nordic Innovation, we are happy to invite you to join the Nordic activities during Battery Japan 2023.

The objective is to promote and showcase the Nordic as an emerging battery region as well as present Nordic companies and solutions to the most important Japanese stakeholders and business connections. A Nordic Pavilion will be a platform for promoting the Nordic industry, activities, and a networking arena.

• Have the opportunity to shape the seminar program at Battery Japan. Selected companies will get the opportunity to present on stage at Tokyo Big Site.
• Be invited to a business reception dinner at a Nordic Embassy during the battery week. Your company can participate in this exclusive networking event, and you can add your VIP contacts to the invitation list.
• Get exposure under the Nordic brand at the Nordic Battery Pavilion. You will get the opportunity to participate in informal networking events conducted at the pavilion and you will receive assistance to meet with Japanese stakeholders.

Financial support for participating companies

For Nordic SMEs with less than 250 employees and innovations providing environmentally sustainable innovative solutions for the battery value chain, Nopef provides an opportunity to have 50% of the occurred costs (up to EUR 3000 in support) reimbursed from this delegation. Companies will be given details on how to apply after signing up. Final decision is upon approval from Nopef.

After the delegation visit, there is an opportunity to apply for further Nopef funding for feasibility studies aiming at international business establishments, investments, or for demonstration projects or pilot installations in Japan.
